PSYCHOSOCIAL  SUPPORT

The core activities are:

Psychosocial support for and advice to the victims / witnesses in their native language

•    psychic support for traumatized women
•    taking the women to doctors and psychologists, finding of therapists
•    continuous psychosocial assistance until they leave the country
•    organization of accommodation
•    accompanying the women to authorities

Preparation for proceedings and accompanying them to procedures against traffickers     

•    taking the women to the lawyers
•    psychosocial support in the hearings /at the request of the women/
•    regular contacts with the competent police authority, prosecutors and lawyers as
     regards the proceedings to inform the witnesses about the current developments

Visits to the place of detention, mainly during detention prior to deportation

•        continuous presence at the place of detention / once weekly / advisory talks with the persons     concerned
•        information on the legal situation of the women
•        assistance to persons willing to testify

Assistance in the return to the native country

•     organization of the return journey in cooperation with the embassies and other institutions
•     dealing with the formalities necessary for the return; assurance of further support
      in her native country
•     psychosocial support until she leaves the country
•     in individual cases, cooperation with the relevant NGO's in the native country

Other activities

Support for victims of trafficking in women in solving other problems, e.g.

•       questions of separation, divorce and custody
•       assistance and support in family reunification
•       assistance and support in finding a new perspective
•       partnership guidance and advice to relatives
•       if necessary, referral to other advisory centres and institutions
